Bryn Melyn Farm was a perfect location for a little weekend getaway. Steve was an excellent host. When we arrived we were shown around the farm and taken to our accommodation - It was perfect, with all the amenities you need for your stay. Our cottage was incredibly clean and even had towels laid out on the bed for us, as well as a welcome basket of items in the kitchen. The weather wasn’t great so we didn’t get a chance to use the Hot Tub but while we were there we roamed the farm and saw all of their animals. Horses, Geese, Ducks, Dogs and Cats! If you’re a lover of animals you’ll definitely love it here. We took advantage of the games room, played Darts, Snooker and Table Tennis! That was a beautiful addition in an outbuilding. Everything about it was perfect for our weekend break. It’s in a lovely area of Wales with breathtakingly beautiful views and a short drive to Bala. I’d recommend Bryn Melyn to anybody. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

We had an excellent stay at Bryn Melyn and couldn’t fault a thing. The cottage was beautifully furnished and was full of utensils and extra blankets, etc. that made the cottage feel like home. There were plenty of books and DVDs to keep us occupied whilst we were in the cottage and everything you could need to prepare a meal if you’re eating at the cottage. We enjoyed having a walk in the farms woodland and seeing the pond, as well as getting to meet the animals and admiring the beautiful wooden sculptures dotted around the courtyard. Even when we stayed in we had the games room to use which kept a us entertained and had plenty of board games that we were able to take back to the cottage for the night. The area is truly beautiful and the farm is perfectly located to travel to any of the attractions North Wales has to offer and we would love to come again. We can’t recommend Bryn Melyn enough!

This is a gorgeous cottage and the hosts are fantastic. Specifically we loved the wood-fired hot tub which has incredible views over the hills beyond. We will definitely return!

Absolutely incredible. I couldn’t compliment the hosts or the accommodation more. The cottage is absolutely stunning, well kitted out and was immaculately clean. The farm itself is beautiful and there are plenty of animals to see and play with which we loved! It’s super easy access to shops, pubs and of course the national park. Furthermore, Steve and Gu were just the best hosts we could ask for - so considerate and really thought out every part of our experience to maximise it for us. We can’t thank them enough and we are 100% going to come back!

We can't imagine a better place to stay in North Wales. The cottage has everything you could hope for. With lots of spots to relax and enjoy the lovely views, close to local shops and reasonably short drive from multiple beautiful places to visit... although you feel so comfortable in the cottage you'll struggle to leave. We absolutely recommend the hot tub, especially after a long day walking or hiking up to Snowdon like we did! Having access to barbaques and firepit was another great addition to the stay. Also you couldn't ask for better hosts! The lovely couple went the extra mile to make our stay perfect, they gave lots of recommendations for local shops and restaurants and things to see and do. Even the dogs, chickens, horses, geese... were friendly! 100% recommended.

What a special place! Steve and Gu are wonderful hosts. They - and their beautiful pets - gave us such a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The apartment is spotless, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. The hot tub is a treat (complete with idyllic view), the tennis court is lovely, and the extensive grounds are stunning with a woodland walk, lots of private areas set up throughout with bbq and benches, and the local village pub only a short walk across the fields. A perfect holiday cottage in paradise. We can’t wait to return.

“Fabulous cottage in beautiful quiet spot”

So delighted with this place...what a great find! We stumbled on Bryn Melyn Farm Cottages whilst looking for a short family break.. It was everything we were looking for and more....lovely cottage, gorgeous grounds, games room with pool table and a fire pit and barbeque. With a fab pub 5 mins away, lake Bala with watersports abt 10 mins away and white water rafting only 5 miles as well as Snowdonia mountains we think Steve and Gu plus Boo the dog have hit on a real treasure for their new business...highly recommended!

“Excellent hidden gem”
We were looking for a last minute cottage for the weekend so we could go climb Snowdon, and were lucky enough to find Steve and Gu's place. If they'd been operating any longer than a couple or so weeks they would definitely have been fully booked.
As it was - we had the place to ourselves. They've made every effort to make the cottages comfortable and welcoming, the grounds are amazing and the games room a lovely added bonus.
We had a perfect weekend with our teenage kids (dragged away from PS4s, ipads etc) and will definitely be returning. We couldn't have found better even if we'd planned months ago.
& many thanks for the wine - much appreciated after that hard slog!!

“Welsh Wonder”
If you are looking for a peaceful, private escape then you need to book here. On arrival we where greeted with such a warm welcome from the owners Steve & Gu, lets not forget their dog Boo. We where shown to our cottage and our fantastic holiday started. The cottage was well equipped and fitted out to a high standard. The bedrooms are bright and airy with a very comfy bed. The most important thing is that when you have a shower you don't have to run around to find the water.

The place is close to town which has everything you need for your stay. There are some beautiful sites to visit in the surrounding areas, with my favourite being Barmouth. It's a must to take a ride on the railway.

All I can say is thanks to Steve, Gu & Boo for such a lovely time and we will see you same time next year.

“Relax and Breath”
I stayed for a week and I wanted to stay forever. Steve, Gu and Boo made me feel so welcome.

The most amazing place to totally unwind and enjoy the best of what Noth Wales has to offer.

A base that is safe and tranquil, but a central location for easy access to many outdoor pursuits, activities, beaches and national trust land to enjoy, for couples, families or an individual to explore.

With the River Dee to fish and enjoy on the land and the accommodation clean, comfortable and home from home. I highly recommend a stay and will definitely be rebooking for the summer holidays.

I cannot wait to go back...

“Amazing cottages”
We booked two cottages Y Gadlas, Y Skubor which were 2 bedroom cottages and YR Hen Hofel which is a cozy one bedroom cottage. All the cottages are very comfortable and very well decorated with all the necessary amenities provided. Very comfy beds and big spacious bathroom. The owners of the cottages Steve and Gulin were very helpful and friendly and looked after all our needs while we were there. That's what made our stay very special. They have a very loving and well behaved dog. I would definitely recommend brynmelyn farm cottages and would love to go back there.

“Perfect - calm and away from everything”
These are wonderful cottages, in a wonderful location with fabulous hosts. If you are visiting Wales then stay here and let the world pass you by.
